Loving Others as God Intends Through Healing
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27
We experience healing when we experience God’s grace. Healing is holistic. It includes the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. All persons are in need of God’s healing grace.
As a community of faith we understand that we are called by God to continue growing as a disciple by participating in spiritual disciplines, experience God’s grace through the sacraments, and challenge one another to grow in our faith. These are all ways that we are able to experience healing. However, we also understand that as we grow it is not simply for ourselves. Rather, we are called to grow in our love of God and in the process mature in our ability to love others as God intends. We experience God’s grace and then become the instruments that God uses to pour out his grace on others.
